Official Visit Recap: LB Gerry Vaughn

A long-time Iowa State linebacker commit had to wait around for an extra week, but finally got on campus over the weekend after having his flight canceled the week before.

Tucker (Ga.) senior Gerry Vaughn said he particularly enjoyed meeting some of his future teammates during the two-day stay in Ames.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound Vaughn also delved into the academic side of ISU much more than he did during an unofficial visit to Ames over the summer.

The next step for Vaughn, one of three committed linebackers for the Cyclones’ 2018 class, is signing his national letter-of-intent this Wednesday.

For more on Vaughn's official visit and what he enjoyed during his time in Ames, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
