Official Visit Recap: DE Zach Petersen
A fast-rising defensive end in the Class of 2018 took an official visit late last weekend and will take a visit to another Big 12 school before making a decision.
North Scott senior Zach Petersen picked up an Iowa State offer earlier this month and squeezed in an official visit late last weekend following a Saturday wrestling tournament.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Petersen, a three-star recruit by Rivals and the fourth-ranked player in Iowa for the 2018 class, is being targeted to play defensive end in Ames.
The North Scott standout has seen his recruiting stock soar since the end of his football season, as he’s now up to five Power-5 offers (ISU, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State and Nebraska).
