Not one but two ISU junior days

Later this month, the Iowa State coaching staff is set to host a central Iowa offensive lineman that picked up a Cyclone offer last April.

West Des Moines Dowling Catholic’s Zach Ross, who Iowa State offered last April, said he’s hearing from multiple coaches off the coaching staff. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Ross has been recruited by assistant coaches Tyson Veidt and Jim Hofher, and says head coach Matt Campbell has been in touch periodically.

In addition to his ISU offer, Ross said he’s hearing from Iowa, Minnesota and Kansas State. He’ll attend a Junior Day at Minnesota this Sunday and is planning to participate in the Nike Opening in Chicago on April 2.

For more on Ross' recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
