It was a couple of weeks later than expected, but 2017 three-star defensive back prospect Keontae Jones got his June visit in to Iowa State.
The 6-foot-0, 175-pound Jones traveled to Ames this past weekend for an unofficial visit to check out the ISU football program. The Cincinnati (Ohio) standout previously considered coming to Cyclone Country the second weekend of the month when his older brother – Deshaunte Jones – reported as an incoming Cyclone freshman.
Naturally, Jones spent time with his older brother upon making it to Ames and got some words of advice about being prepared should he be reporting to Iowa State as a freshman about this time next summer.
Jones said he's in no hurry to make a commitment decision to Iowa State or anywhere else as of right now and he plans to enjoy the process for as long as it goes on.
