Narveson gets his kicks this summer

After making an April commitment to Iowa State, a rising senior from the southwest was able to focus on improving himself as a place-kicker during the summer months.

Tuesday was a big day for Scottsdale Desert Mountain’s Brayden Narveson, a student of the Chris Sailer Kicking Academy, who chose the Cyclones in mid-April. Narveson got a much-awaited piece of mail from ISU and booted one of his longest field goals of the summer.

Among theevents that the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Narveson took part in was a team camp at Northern Arizona University and Chris Sailer's specialist camp in Florida.

At this point, Narveson said his next stop in Ames is set for the weekend of the ISU-Iowa game in September.
