Montgomery recaps I-State visit

Iowa State is in the market for one more running back in the Class of 2016 and its sights are set on an Ohio high school rusher that took his official visit to Ames over the weekend.

Cincinnati's David Montgomery, who was hosted by ISU’s leading rusher Mike Warren, said he liked what the Cyclones have to offer both on and off the field.

Montgomery, who actually played quarterback for his school this past season, was the Associated Press state offensive player of the year and Southwest District offensive player of the year. He rushed for 2,707 yards and 41 touchdowns and threw for 726 yards and seven touchdowns.

I-State is competing against the likes of Illinois and Marshall for the services of Montgomery.
