Mo. sharpshooter nets ISU offer
Iowa State has joined the fray for a long shooter from Southern Missouri who has seen his recruiting interest pick up this spring following a strong junior high school year.
Jared Ridder of Springfield (Mo.) Kickapoo added a Cyclone offer Tuesday, to go with other high-major offers like Arkansas and Oklahoma State. He's also being recruited hard to by the likes of Xavier, Missouri State, Boise State and UNI.
The 6-foot-6, 195-pound Ridder visited Xavier earlier this week and is booked for a trip to Oklahoma State later in June. He previously visited Arkansas. And Ridder said he would like to get in a trip to Ames, Iowa, yet this month to see the ISU campus in person.
