Michigander building on ISU relationships

Having been recruited by head coach Matt Campbell and several of his assistants from their days at Toledo, a Michigan defensive back in the Class of 2019 says there is a comfort level with the Cyclones.

Iowa State has offered and is one of the Power-5 programs that Saline junior M.J. Griffin is very familiar with, having taken multiple unofficial visits to Ames since head coach Matt Campbell and his staff arrived.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Griffin is a three-star recruit and also has P5 offers from Indiana, Kentucky and Louisville, as well as from several in the G5 ranks.

With the Cyclones on their way to a bowl game at 7-5, Griffin said he’s paid close attention to the work their defense has done this fall.

For more on Griffin's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
