Mich. WR studying ISU after offer

Iowa State signed a mountain of a man out of a Michigan high school in the Class of 2017, and is now back at the school recruiting a fleet-footed wide receiver who won't ink a national letter-of-intent for at least another few years.

Walled Lake Western’s Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen said area recruiter D.K. McDonald visited his school this winter and had an offer waiting for him. Western High School had produced redshirting freshman big man Robert Hudson.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Yaseen said he appreciated the Cyclones stepping up their pursuit with an offer. The wide receiver also has Power-5 offers from Indiana and Minnesota, to go along with MAC programs Central Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo.

Yaseen said he’s familiar with a pair of current and future Cyclones, Hudson and 2018 signee Jaeveyon Morton, and that he’s gotten some good feedback.

For more on Yaseen's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
