Mich. soph OL on I-State offer

An Iowa State assistant coach spent last Thursday at a Michigan high school that has already produced a 2017 signee and also includes a promising sophomore prospect.

Walled Lake (Mich.) Western offensive lineman Spencer Brown, who was a sophomore last fall on a team that featured future Cyclone Rob Hudson, impressed an assistant coach during an in-school visit last Thursday.

The Cyclones became the first Power-5 program to offer the Class of 2019 offensive lineman. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound Brown also has G5 offers from Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Ball State, Miami (Ohio) and Toledo.

Brown has also done some of his own homework on I-State, and said he likes the level of competition it faces.
