McCray a TE target for Iowa St.

The Cyclones extended an offer to a Florida athlete as a high school sophomore last spring, and are now hoping to get the prospect up for a visit over the summer.

West Palm Beach Oxbridge Academy junior Herman McCray, who is being recruited to play on the offensive side of the ball, said he’s heard from the Cyclones consistently throughout the recruiting process.

Although listed as a defensive end in the Rivals database, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound McCray will change positions at the next level if he inks with the Cyclones next February.

Since picking up his ISU offer last spring, McCray has gone on to add offers from Louisville, Florida Atlantic and Florida A&M.
