Junior WR target commits to Cyclones

Iowa State picked up its second 2019 football recruiting verbal commitment of December on Monday evening as Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry wide receiver D'Shayne James delivered the news to Cyclone coaches.

James, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect, went public with the commitment Tuesday morning via twitter.

The three-star junior had unofficially visited ISU on multiple occasions before making his decision. James' most recent trip to Ames came in October when he was on hand for the Cyclones' 14-7 win over TCU.

James' only other reported scholarship offer at this time was from FCS Northern Arizona.

CycloneReport.com is scheduled to talk to James at the conclusion of his school day.

James joins West Des Moines (Iowa) OL Jake Remsberg in ISU's recruiting class of 2019 as it stands today. Remsberg committed to Iowa State on Dec. 11.
