JC LB in wait & see mode with Cyclones

Iowa State already has two high school linebackers in the fold for the Class of 2018, but questions remain on if it will add another one to the mix.

East Mississippi redshirt freshman Emanuel Bridges, a bounce-back linebacker from Georgia Tech, is looking for a future home after spending 2017 in Scooba. Whether or not that will be in Ames should be settled in the coming weeks.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Bridges has had a fine fall with the Lions, accumulating 87 tackles, one forced fumble, one sack and one interception. He said the Cyclones liked what they saw this fall, but that it’s a matter of if they need another linebacker.

Florida Atlantic and Tulane are the only other offers for Bridges presently, although the defender hopes to change that at this weekend’s JUCO national championship game against Arizona Western.
