ISU visit next after Baker's viral video

Not only did an in-state running back enjoy the national attention received from a 80-yard touchdown run last Friday, but the Class of 2019 prospect also said he enjoyed hearing from a member of the Cyclones' coaching staff afterwards.

Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson junior Cameron Baker, who is being recruited by Iowa State, recorded a memorable TD run in which he broke seven tackles on the way to the end zone. A video of his rush against Sioux City West this past Friday night went viral. One of the coaches to reach out to Baker soon after was assistant director of scouting Derek Hoodjer.

The Class of 2019 prospect attended the ISU/Iowa game earlier this month and said he feels he’s developed a close relationship with members of head coach Matt Campbell’s staff.

Baker said he plans to return to Ames next Thursday night when the Cyclones host Texas.
