ISU makes home visit to see RB Banks

The one running back atop Iowa State's 2018 wish list remains a Tennessee prospect who has become very familiar with the program in recent months.

Cordova senior Jeremy Banks is a three-star rusher with several offers from Power-5 teams from around the country, but the Cyclones are one of four that have hosted him on an official visit. Banks hosted running backs coach Lou Ayeni last night, who he said did nothing to hurt his chances of signing there

In addition to ISU, Banks has taken official visits to Nebraska, UCLA and Wyoming. Two of those schools have recently undergone head coaching changes, while the Cyclones extended head coach Matt Campbell and gave him a raise. Will that have an effect on Banks' recruitment remains to be seen.

Banks said he hasn’t ruled out any school that has offered. And that’s a big a list, including the likes of Arkansas, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Purdue, Texas A&M, Utah, Virginia Tech and UCLA.

For more on Banks' in-home visit and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
