ISU in solid position with Va. OL

All of the unique ways that Iowa State uses to communicate with recruits continues to impress a Class of 2019 offensive lineman from the state of Virginia.

Daleville Lord Botetourt’s Jesse Hanson, who picked up an offer from head coach Matt Campbell during an unofficial visit last July, said the Cyclones have made an impression in the various ways it has communicated with him since the visit.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Hanson has a 5.7 Rivals rating, making him a borderline four-star prospect. He’s the eighth-ranked overall player in Virginia and 13th offensive guard nationally in the Class of 2019.

In addition to I-State, Hanson has Power-5 offers from Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

For more on Hanson's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
