ISU in offer flurry for 2019 DE

Iowa State is one in an increasing number of FBS programs to have offered a fast-rising defensive end prospect from the Florida high school ranks.

Auburndale Class of 2019 standout junior Lloyd Summerall said he started hearing more from the Cyclones within the past few weeks.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound recruit is now up to eight total offers, including three of those from the Power-5 ranks (ISU, Utah, Pitt and North Carolina). He also has Charlotte, Liberty, UCF and UMass. Summerall said he’s also hearing from Florida State, Michigan, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Oregon State, Temple and Troy.

The Cyclones’ emergence in head coach Matt Campbell’s second season on the job has gotten Summerall’s attention, he says.
