ISU in early on younger Foster

Iowa State’s courtship of a Class of 2018 prospect began over the weekend during a Junior Day event, although it’s safe to presume the recruit already knows plenty about the program.

Mundelein Carmel Catholic’s Braden Foster, who won’t sign until the Class of 2018, was on campus along with his mother and older brother Sean who signed with the Cyclones earlier this month. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Foster said he enjoyed all facets of his visit.

Although Foster is receiving interest from Arkansas, Purdue, Illinois, Michigan State and Western Michigan, the fact ISU has his older brother in the fold figures to keep it in the running.

Foster said he plans to attend ISU’s spring game along with his brother. He also said offensive line coach and coordinator Tom Manning will be visiting his school during spring evaluations.
