ISU commit Moore ready for NSD

Iowa State's 2017 recruiting class will likely go down as one of its best ever and it was an in-state quarterback who got it all started with a commitment back in November of 2015.

Waterloo (Iowa) West quarterback Devon Moore will finally getting the opportunity to sign his national letter-of-intent next week. The sixth-ranked overall prospect in the state for 2017 was on campus over the weekend for his official visit.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Moore said it was a pretty casual stop in Ames, as many of the recruits had long been committed to the Cyclones.

Starting defensive back D’Andre Payne hosted the recruit on his official visit and offered some good advice, according to Moore.

As a senior at Waterloo West, Moore led his team to an 8-2 record and completed 147-of-235 passes for 2,331 yard and 29 touchdowns to just five interceptions. He also rushed for 109 yards and five touchdowns.
