ISU commit McDonald planning visit

A long-time commitment for the Cyclones' 2018 recruiting class was watching last weekend when his future team took down the nation's third-ranked team and says he's encouraged by the program's direction.

Waukesha (Wisc.) North senior Will McDonald, who chose ISU in late-February, was one of several recruits watching when his future school took down the No. 3 Sooners.

As the 6-foot-5, 200-pound McDonald has gone through his senior season, he’s remained in touch with the Cyclones’ staff and they’ve helped lend a hand.

McDonald says he’s planning for an official visit in January, but could make it down to Ames for a game-day visit later this fall.

For more on McDonald's senior season and what he's hearing from the Cyclones, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
