Iowa State visit sets the standard for JUCO safety

Included in the list of prospects being hosted by the coaching staff last weekend was a 2018 JUCO prospect that was on his official visit to Iowa State.

Trinity Valley (Texas) rising redshirt freshman Greg Eisworth, who redshirted the 2016 season at Ole Miss before opting to transfer out last winter, said he liked everything about his ISU official visit.

The 6-foot-0, 195-pound Eisworth, who has also been pursued heavily by Colorado during his latest recruitment, said he’s looking for the opportunity to be a factor in the fall of 2018 and felt that he could be if he signs with the Cyclones.

Eisworth was a three-star recruit out of South Grand Prairie (Texas) when he signed with Ole Miss in the Class of 2016. He chose the Rebels over P5 offers from Baylor, Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma.

For more on Eisworth's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
