Iowa State likely in OL's top group

In a crowded group of Power-5 schools, Iowa State is sticking out to a Class of 2017 offensive lineman from the state of Florida thanks to the recruiting work of one of its coaches.

Tampa Jefferson rising senior Jean Marcellus says the recruiting process is going very well with the Cyclones and that's in large part due to the work of coach Tom Manning.

Although Marcellus has yet to make it to the Cyclones' campus for a visit, he has had a chance to meet and work in front of some of their coaches at the Sound Mind/Sound Body camp and was seen during the spring evaluation period.

In addition to ISU, Marcellus has Power-5 offers from Georgia, Indiana, Louisville, Miami (Fla.) Mississippi State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

For more on Marcellus' recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
