Iowa St. visits Georgia OL's school

After picking up an offer from Iowa State last month, a Class of 2017 offensive lineman from the southeast got his turn to shine in front of offensive coordinator and line coach Tom Manning on Friday night.

Roswell Blessed Trinity senior Jacob Bolton picked up an offer from the Cyclones last month and said he’s continued to build a good relationship with the man that could be his future position coach.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Bolton said he’s heard a lot about the Cyclones’ need to rebuild the numbers in its big man pipeline.

Bolton also has a Power-5 offer from Maryland to go along with others in the FBS and FCS ranks. He said ISU, Maryland and Georgia Southern are three likely official visits he will take, but is unsure of the other two.

For more on Bolton's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
