In-state LB takes another ISU visit

An in-state prospect with an offer from the Cyclones took an unofficial visit with his family this past weekend to catch up with the coaching staff and watch a basketball game.

Iowa City West outside linebacker Cole Mabry, who picked up his first offer from ISU in September, said he’s hearing a lot from the program.

While helping his team to a deep postseason run, Mabry found the time to closely follow the Cyclones’ 2017 campaign.

Mabry is a two-star recruit by Rivals and finished this past season with 56.5 tackles and two sacks for an Iowa City West team that finished 12-1 and advanced to the state championship game. Since the season ended, Mabry participated in the US Army All-American National Combine in San Antonio this month.

For more on Mabry's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
