Illinois DT plans to hit ISU camp

After becoming the prospect's second offer in early February, Iowa State is set to get a visit from one of the top recruits in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2018.

Bolingbrook junior Dashaun Mallory recently saw Cyclone assistant coaches Eli Rasheed and Alex Golesh during the spring evaluation period and he's been invited to a summer camp next month. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Mallory said he liked the added attention the Cyclones gave him during the recent recruiting period.

In addition to his two P5 offers, Mallory has also been offered by Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Northern Illinois and Wyoming. He’s getting interest from Michigan State, Michigan and Penn State.

Mallory is the 13th-ranked player in the state of Illinois and 44th overall defensive tackle nationally for the 2018 class.
