Illinois DB Feels Wanted by I-State

Iowa State has long coveted a defensive back from the Illinois high school ranks and hopes to get the Class of 2017 prospect in for an unofficial visit in the coming weeks.

A multi-sport athlete that’s currently in the middle of lacrosse season, Wilmette (Ill.) Loyola Academy defensive back Ian Swenson hasn’t really gotten too far into the recruiting process thus far.

Still, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound junior knows which programs really want him and he’d say Iowa State is one of those.

Swenson also has a Power-5 offer from Louisville to go along with several other FBS ones from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, New Mexico, Western Michigan and Wyoming.

For more on Swenson’s recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
