I-State visit surprises Florida CB

Iowa State is targeting a Class of 2018 defensive back prospect from southeast Florida and recently hosted him on an unofficial visit.

Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer standout Kenih Lovely won't sign with a program for a year and a half, but already has offers from ISU, Minnesota, South Florida, Rutgers, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, NC State and Syracuse.

The 5-foot-10, 167-pound Lovely admits that he didn't have many expectations going into the trip, but his perspective on the I-State program has now changed. ISU is targeting Lovely to play cornerback at the next level and feels he would be a good fit for the defense.

For more on Lovely's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
