I-State visit overwhelms Taylor-Cortez

One of two recruits that Iowa State hosted on official visitors over the weekend was a Class of 2018 defensive back from southern California.

West Hills Chaminade standout Dallas Taylor-Cortez took his first official visit of the process and it was one that gave him a different perspective on Iowa State.

The first day of Taylor-Cortez’s visit on Friday, he met with cornerback coach D.K. McDonald about where the staff would like to utilize him beginning in 2018. The 6-foot-3, 173-pound Taylor-Cortez also had a meeting with head coach Matt Campbell during his first day in Ames.

Not one to release a list of favorites or top schools, Taylor-Cortez didn’t sway from that approach following his initial visit. The cornerback already has one visit scheduled to a Pac-12 program and is considering two others to schools in the conference.
