I-State visit is an eye opener

Another in a group of 11 Cass Tech prospects to visit Iowa State last weekend was a Class of 2017 outside linebacker that’s being recruited to play defensive end.

Junior defender Zach Morton, who also has offers from Syracuse, Bowling Green and Cincinnati, said he enjoyed the facilities aspect of his trip.

Morton was part of a traveling group that included other Cass Tech prospects Donovan Johnson, Willie Reid, Desean Boyd, Kalon Gervin, Jordan Lewis, Aaron Jackson, Donovan Williams, DeAndre Square and Otis Doss.

Although Morton said he’s nowhere near a decision date, the Cyclones are high on his list and will be in the running when commitment time comes.
