I-State sees JC DL at satellite camp

A December JUCO graduate from the state of Iowa has hopes of landing an offer from the Cyclones following a camp performance last week.

Iowa Central rising sophomore Jack Kallenberger said he made quite an impression on the I-State staff, including head coach Matt Campbell, during a camp in Dubuque over the weekend. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defender is the older brother of Class 2017 Iowa commit Mark Kallenberger.

Kallenberger said he spoke briefly with Campbell following the camp performance and got some clarity as to where he stands with ISU.

In addition to the Cyclones, Kallenberger said he’s received interest from Iowa, Kansas State, Minnesota and UNI, but has yet to collect his first offer.

For more on Kallenberger's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
