I-State making a move with Cali. RB

A bruising rusher from southern California has had an Iowa State offer since last December and says the school has steadily moved up his list.

Lompoc standout senior Toa Taua, who is actually a three-star linebacker by Rivals, is being considered on the offensive side by the Cyclones.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Taua said he’s taken notice of the direction ISU has gone in head coach Matt Campbell’s second season.

In addition to the one he has from I-State, Taua has offers from Arizona State, California, Colorado and Washington State. He’s also high on a few G5 offer schools like San Diego State and Nevada.

For more on Taua's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
