I-State is top three for Texas WR

Instead of taking official visits this fall, a private school wide receiver from the state of Texas has focused on leading his team on a memorable run.

Addison (Texas) Greenhill School senior Kassidy Woods has put his recruitment on hold while helping lead his team to the brink of a state championship. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound pass catcher, who leads his team in receiving yards, will be a key component this weekend when Greenhill plays for the SPC 3A state title.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Woods has whittled his list down to three Power-5 schools - Iowa State, Nebraska and Washington State. He plans to schedule official visits to those programs in the coming weeks.

Asked what has kept the Cyclones in the picture this long, the wide receiver said it’s the chance to contribute as a freshman.

For more on Woods' recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
