I-State in position with Florida RB

Cyclone coaches have maintained steady contact with a three-star running back from Tampa, Florida, throughout the spring evaluation period.

In addition to the offer he has from the Cyclones, Tampa Jesuit standout junior Malik Davis has Power-5 ones from the likes of Arizona, Boston College, Maryland, Miami (Fla.), Missouri, North Carolina, Purdue, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

In order to stand out in a crowded back of schools, ISU has been showing the 5-foot-11, 187-pound Davis steady interest all spring.

Davis said I-State is one of the programs he would like to hit over the summer months.

For more on Davis' recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
