I-State commit deep in state playoff run

Since picking Iowa State over a Power-5 offer from Kansas earlier this season, an Oklahoma senior wide receiver has gone on to have a big fall on the football field.

Jones standout pass catcher Sean Shaw first got his college decision out of the way with a September commitment to Iowa State. He’s since helped lead his team to the Class 3A state semifinals. Jones is 13-0 and will face John Marshall this Friday at Putnam City High School. Individually, Shaw has racked up more than 700 receiving yards and scored 17 touchdowns.

On the recruiting side of things, the 6-foot-5, 200-pound Shaw has been in contact with members of the Cyclone coaching staff frequently.

Offensively, Shaw is the tall wide receiver that ISU has tried to recruit in recent years. He likes the way those pass catchers have been targeted in 2017.

For more on Shaw's senior season and thoughts on the 2017 Cyclones, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
