Hudson sees Iowa State in person

Iowa State got first dibs on an official visit this weekend from an offensive lineman that's committed to a Big 10 program that recently underwent a coaching change.

Walled Lake Western senior Robert Hudson, who is committed to Purdue, said he enjoyed what was his first official visit of the recruiting process.

The 6-foot-8, 295-pound Hudson enjoyed the meeting he had with offensive coordinator and line coach Tom Manning. Hudson's player host the past few days was first-year offensive lineman Josh Mueller.

In addition to P5 offers ISU, Purdue and Syracuse, Hudson had G5 offers from the likes of Buffalo, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Temple, UCF and Western Michigan at the time of his commitment.
