Ga. DB readies for I-State visit

Iowa State has a majority of its spots filled for the Class of 2018, but there are still a few scholarships remaining. One of the candidates for late addition is a senior defensive back from the state of Georgia.

Stone Mountain Stephenson senior Justin Birdsong put his recruitment on hold this last fall and has started to re-assess things with a February signing in mind.

At various points in the recruiting process, Birdsong has had Power-5 offers from the likes of ISU, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State and Minnesota. A host of other G5 programs have also offered.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound defender is a three-star recruit by Rivals.

For more on Birdsong's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
