Furtney thinking about Iowa State return visit

After taking a Junior Day visit to Iowa State last month, a three-star offensive lineman from the state of Michigan said he is considering a return trip to Ames.

Milan junior offensive tackle Michael Furtney said he’s remained in touch with three coaches on the Cyclones’ staff, head coach Matt Campbell and assistants Tom Manning and D.K. McDonald.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Furtney has already seen a good share of the program and school itself during a Junior Day visit on February 18th. The visit was part of a four-day stretch in which he traveled to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

In addition to the one he received from ISU in early February, Furtney also has Power-5 offers from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wisconsin.

For more on Furtney's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
