Florida OL plans June ISU visit

Iowa State will host a Florida prep offensive lineman on an unofficial visit next month, as the prospect has built solid relationships with members of Matt Campbell's coaching staff.

Bolles junior Orlando Heggs received an offer from Iowa State last month, which immediately stood out given his relationships with some other Jacksonville alumni in the area like Nigel Tribune, JaQuan Bailey and Josh Bailey.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound Heggs said his I-State recruitment picked up last month and that he’s spoken frequently with a pair of coaches from the staff.

Heggs currently has one other Power-5 offer from Wake Forest, to go along with several in the G5 ranks like Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Marshall, Temple and Tulane. He said a pair of schools are at the top of his list right now.

For more on Heggs' recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
