Fla. WR sets ISU visit

Later this month, the Cyclones are set to host a wide receiver from the Sunshine State for an official visit.

Lakeland’s Tariq Young had been recruited by the new ISU coaching staff while it was at Toledo, and said he was contacted last month shortly after Matt Campbell took over as the new head man in Ames.

At one point, Young also had a Power-5 offer from Wisconsin but it appears the staff in Madison has moved on. He also has offers from Alcorn State, Bowling Green, Colorado State, Liberty, UMass, Middle Tennessee State, North Dakota State and Western Kentucky.

As a receiver this past season, Young caught 35 passes for 637 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned 12 punts for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
