Fla. DB seeks rescheduled ISU visit

An official visit during one of Iowa State's four remaining home football weekends remains a good possibility for a Class of 2017 Florida defensive back.

Ocala Vanguard’s Tyree Gillespie said he is hearing frequently from the coaching staff, including defensive coordinator/safeties coach Jon Heacock.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Gillespie is coveted by the Cyclones because of his ability as a tough brand of safety.

In addition to the one he has from ISU, Gillespie has offers from Missouri, Florida A&M and New Mexico. He’s also garnering interest from other Power-5 programs in the southeast.

For more on Gillespie's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
