Fla. DB looks for chance to visit I-State

Iowa State landed one prospect from a southeast Florida high school in the Class of 2017 and has aspirations of getting at least one more in each of the next two classes.

Delray Beach Atlantic junior Marc’Allan Derac said he collected an offer during an in-school visit from assistant coach D.K. McDonald, who had been in town recruiting 2018 wide receiver Corey Gammage.

The 6-foot-3, 176-pound prospect attends the same school that produced I-State freshman defensive back Datrone Young.

Derac, who also has offers from Syracuse and Western Michigan, said he would like to make it to Ames to see the program for himself in the near future.
