Fla. DB keeping cards close to vest

If Marquis Waters has started critically evaluating all of the Division I-A schools that have offered him to date, he isn't saying.

The Delray Beach (Fla.) 2017 safety prospect indicated that he has no favorites right now among the nearly 20 schools that have offered him, including eight Power 5 programs. So Iowa State and the others are continuing to jockey for position to be in the right place at the right time when Waters begins to cull the herd.

The 6-foot-0, 195-pounder said frequent contact with the Cyclone coaching staff is helping to keep ISU top of mind for him.

According to Rivals.com, Waters is a three-star prospect.
