Downing was early 2018 ISU offer

A camp performance earlier this month only served to re-affirm the Cyclones' interest level in a Class of 2018 recruit from southwestern Iowa.

Creston offensive lineman Trevor Downing said he enjoyed his time at the Cyclones' first Saturday Night Lights camp of the month.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Downing, whose lone offer to this point is from ISU, said he received some solid feedback from offensive line coach Tom Manning. Not only does Downing believe I-State is a good match athletically, but he's also sold on what it offers off the field.
