Cyclones offer first on JUCO lineman

Iowa State might look for a quick fix along the offensive line for 2018 in the form of a JUCO standout at a program in Arizona.

Arizona Western redshirt freshman Jahmir Johnson said he was offered by assistant coach Alex Golesh and says the Cyclones have made quite an impression in the early stages of his recruitment.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Johnson’s stock soared after the October 2nd offer from the Cyclones, as he picked up P5 offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota and West Virginia in a matter of days.

According to Johnson, he would be plugged in as an offensive tackle if he signs with the Cyclones.
