Cyclones lead for OL Downing

Cyclone head coach Matt Campbell has made it a priority to personally recruit a Class of 2018 offensive lineman from southwest Iowa, communicating frequently with the recruit and meeting with him prior to home games this fall.

Creston junior Trevor Downing has already collected an Iowa State offer and says he likes the attention he's gotten from the head coach himself.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Downing said he likes what the ISU offensive line has tried to do in its first season with Campbell at the helm.

Downing has one offer thus far and says he's being recruited by Iowa, Indiana, Penn State and Oklahoma.
