Cyclones an early P5 offer for Wahlberg

Iowa State is one of two Power-5 offers for an emerging three-star linebacker from the Michigan high school ranks.

Norton Shores (Mich.) Mona Shores junior Jacob Wahlberg said he heard the news of his second Power-5 offer from area recruiter D.K. McDonald.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Wahlberg also has a Power-5 offer from Pittsburgh, to go along with MAC programs Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Toledo and Northern Illinois.

Wahlberg said he hopes to increase his knowledge of I-State even further with an unofficial visit in the coming months.
