An Iowa State official visit is on the calendar of a big tight end from in the middle of SEC country. Prairie Grove (Ark.) standout senior Dylan Soehner was offered by the Cyclones shortly after head coach Matt Campbell arrived on the job.

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound Soehner, a two-star recruit by Rivals, said he’ll also take an official visit to Illinois later this month, and it appears to be down to the Cyclones and Fighting Illini at this point. In addition to ISU and Illinois, Soehner also has offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech and Missouri State.

The big tight end says that I-State envisions him remaining at the tight end position at the next level and providing a mismatch for the new offense employed in Ames.

Playing in a Wing-T offense this fall, Soehner caught 38 passes for 628 yards and nine touchdowns to lead his Prairie Grove squad to the Class 4A state championship game.
