ISU offer could lead to ATH visit

Iowa State could be getting an unofficial visit in a couple weeks from a three-star athlete that hails from a community northwest of Chicago, Illinois.

Crystal Lake Prairie Ridge athlete Samson Evans, who has mainly played quarterback for his high school team, has gotten praise from the Cyclone coaching staff for what he could bring to the table on defense. He picked up an offer from the staff in December.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Evans has also gotten Power-5 offers Illinois, Iowa and Syracuse, to go with G5 programs Colorado State, Tulane, Ball State, Army, Northern Illinois and Central Michigan.

Evans’ older brother Shane is an offensive lineman at Northern Illinois.

For more on Evans' recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
