Four-star guard Chris Colvin from Chicago (Ill.) Whitney Young will publicly announce his college choice this evening at a press conference at his high school. But in all likelihood, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Colvin – rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and ranked as the no. 92 prospect in the Class of 2009 – is already officially signed with the school of his choice.
Iowa State, Marquette, Providence and USC comprised Colvin's de facto final four as he narrowed in on a smaller field of top schools after decided not to wait until the spring signing period to make a commitment. The 15th-ranked point guard in the Class of 2009 officially visited ISU on the weekend of October 17 and also made visits to his other top schools.
Colvin, one of the few unsigned players remaining in the Rivals150 for 2009, also collected scholarship offers from the likes of Kentucky, Illinois, Washington State, Baylor and Florida State.
