Clark talking more with ISU

Iowa State has seen in-state rival Iowa jump into the fray with a prospect from inside the state's borders, but the coaching staff is stepping up its recruitment in hopes of landing him in the Class of 2018.

Sioux City Bishop Heelan junior Saybein Clark said he’s hearing from multiple coaches on the staff, especially Director of High School Relations Mitchell Moore, head coach Matt Campbell and running backs coach Lou Ayeni.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Clark said he's being recruited as a running back, first and foremost, with the potential of moving to outside linebacker. He was on campus for the Cyclones’ season opener against Northern Iowa.

Since picking up his offer from I-State in the spring, Clark has added one more and is hearing from a pair of other programs.
